TransitVUE® Direct Buried Advanced Intrusion Detection Tracking System
With millions of commuters using public transportation daily, the constant threat of security breaches and safety issues requiring the need for complete and all-inclusive intrusion detection systems is dramatically increasing. The TransitVUE® Direct Buried Advanced Intrusion Detection Tracking System provides an invisible, pin-point determination of the disturbance by enhancing security monitoring with buried fiber optic sensors.
Similar to the TransitVUE® Advanced Sensor Mat application, the TransitVUE® Direct Buried Advanced Intrusion Detection Tracking system combines a vast array of sensors based on Fiber Bragg Gratings, fiber optic cable and a state of the art data Information Processing Unit (IPU) to create an open architecture solution that can function as a stand-alone warning/alarm system or in conjunction with our other TransitVUE® Systems.
Using our buried fiber optic cable solution, a person in specific locations that is walking, running, or standing on or between the tracks or at the edge of the platform is individually detected. Depending on the configuration of your system, any such movement can be tracked to within 10 feet of the disturbance. Notably, FBG optics in the cable will ignore seismic activity at a specific point from train and small animals, like rats and mice, but detect objects such as a backpack full of explosives.
