A Turnkey Solution

TransitVUE TPIS is based on a client-server configuration in which the content server, (CMS-1000A Content Server), is connected to a network of clients (Players) via a TCP/IP network (hard wire or wireless). The content server, typically based at a central location, is where the content to be shown is put in a play list. The content server communicates to each player independently (uni-casting), or distributes content simultaneously to any number of Players (multi-casting). This local file sharing mechanism reduces the cost of content distribution and reduces the cost of ownership for the whole system. Content can be configured to have every display in the network running "synchronously" or each display can run independently. As the scheduled content is displayed, the client software on the Player generates log files with information on what content has been shown. This information is fed back to the server to be viewed by the operator for billing and tracking purposes.
